If you manually change client assignments for any streams in a backup job, the restore job requires the same changes in the Script Editor. The client assignments and DESTINATIONPATH keyword values must match for each stream in the backup and restore jobs.

  1. In the Script Options dialog box, click the Clients button and assign clients to match assignments for each stream in the backup job.
  2. Click Preview to edit each DESTINATIONPATH, adding the image name that was created by the corresponding stream of the backup job. Each stream has a corresponding DESTINATIONPATH line. The first one is for stream 1, the second one is for stream 2, and so on, with the last line reserved for the last stream of the job.
    1. If you need to see the image names, look at the backup job in the Job Viewer. In the job log of each stream, the image name is the ARCHIVE or the JOURNAL value in the “FILEDEF – MAP INTERNAL FILES TO EXTERNAL DEFINITION” section of the log. Example for stream 1 log for backup job content:
      ARCHIVE /var/abu_storage/disk1/adw1_4stream_53118c360000000b_DSTREAM0001
    2. Append the image name to the DESTINATIONPATH for each stream in the restore job matching the backup job streams.
There is one space between DESTINATIONPATH and the image name. No spaces are allowed at the end of the image name.
      Example for stream 1:
      DESTINATIONPATH /var/abu_storage/disk1/adw1_4stream_53118c360000000b_DSTREAM0001
