To set up PHP to work with ODBC, first install Aster ODBC driver on Linux.
Use unixODBC 2.3.1 and build it with the CFLAG, SIZEOF_LONG=8. The same will apply to building PHP when compiled to be used with unixODBC. Here are the supported versions:
- PHP 5.4.19
- Apache 2.2.25
