ACT provides commands for interfacing with the Aster File Store (AFS). You specify these commands using the syntax:
beehive=> \afs <afs_command> <command_param>
All of these AFS commands behave similarly to the corresponding UNIX commands; the command descriptions show where behavior is different. Error information is sent to stderr and the output is sent to stdout. These commands must be issued outside of a transaction block (for example, not between BEGIN and END.)
