This appendix lists Aster Client encoding support. Note that data being loaded to Aster Database should use a UTF-8 character set with one of the supported encodings. The encoding support for JDBC and .NET Data Provider are Unicode (UTF-16). This is because the character string data type in JAVA and C# are encoded in Unicode (UTF-16).
