Do not end the logon string with a semicolon.

A TDP exit routine that adds or modifies the logon string might have been created during installation. If so, all or part of the logon string in the DBCAREA might be optional. For more details, check with your system administrator.

Points to the beginning of the logon string.

Points to the two‑byte length field immediately preceding the logon string.

User-defined or invalid character set names are treated as EBCDIC to parse the logon string for the TDPid. For more information, see “Character Sets” on page 48 and “Character Set Pointer” on page 78.
