enable_component - Data Stream Architecture

Purpose

The enable_component command enables an existing BAR component based on the component name and type.

Syntax

enable_component -n|-name Name -t|-type Type

Example

dsc enable_component -n system1 -t system

Parameters

n|name Name

The name of the BAR component. The name must be unique.

system1

t|type Type

The type of BAR component. Enter system or target_group.

SYSTEM

u|user_authentication User

Required when security management is enabled. Supplies the command with the Viewpoint user, and triggers a password prompt for authentication.

-c|config_default_shared_pipe

Only valid for type SYSTEM. Configure the default shared pipe target group.

Usage Notes

You must enable a system or target group before running a job that uses it.
