  1. Click Daemons.
  2. Click .
  3. Enter the name for the daemon group.
  4. Select an HA Pattern.
    The Valid HA Transitions change depending on the pattern you select.
  5. Select the Valid HA Transitions.
    Some transitions are preselected based on the HA pattern for the group.
  6. Select a method to search for daemons on each server in Identify daemons by:
  7. Enter the type of executable for the daemon group in Executable Name.
  8. Enter the name of the Execute User.
  9. Enter the associated Execute Password.
  10. Enter the search pattern in Search Pattern Value (Global).
    To use the same search pattern for all daemons in the group, enter the search pattern in this field. To enter custom search patterns for each server, complete the Daemon Search Pattern Value field for each server.
  11. Enter the name of the State Change Control Script.
  12. Enter the Daemon Name.
    The name is the same for each daemon in the group.
  13. [Optional] Select the box to add the daemons to the Application Availability report.
  14. Click .
  15. For each daemon, select the Server where the daemon is located.
    Each daemon in the group must have a different server location. For each server you select, make sure the Ecosystem Manager Client package is installed and configured correctly and that all Ecosystem Manager services are running.
  16. For each daemon, enter the Current State.
    The current state must be valid for the HA pattern you selected. For the Active/Active pattern, the state must be Active or Passive. For the Active/Standby pattern, the state must be Active, Standby, or Passive. Only one daemon can be Active in this pattern.
  17. [Optional] Enter the Daemon Search Pattern Value that matches the daemon search pattern you selected.
    Click Use custom value to use a different search pattern value for each daemon.
  18. [Optional] For each additional daemon in the group, click in the Manage Daemons section, and repeat steps 15-17.
  19. Click Apply for the changes to take effect.
