  1. Click Actions and then select Create System Seeding Workflow.
  2. Enter the Workflow name.
  3. From the Default email action list, select an email.
  4. Enter the Estimated RPO in seconds.
    The Recovery Point Object (RPO) is the maximum time frame, at the system level, to lose changes in data in the event of a major outage.
  5. Select the box to add an RPO alert email.
    If you select the box, Ecosystem Manager creates a default email to send when the defined RPO is exceeded. You can edit the email subject and body in the Threshold Rules tab in the Workflow Designer portlet. Ecosystem Manager also displays the alert information in the Alert viewer. If you do not select the box, Ecosystem Manager displays the alert information in the alert viewer, but does not send an email.
  6. From the Source System Server name list, select a server.
  7. Enter the Database user name.
  8. Enter the associated Database password.
  9. From the Target System Server name list, select a server.
  10. Enter the Database user name.
  11. Enter the associated Database password.
  12. Enter the Host name.
  13. Enter the OS user name
  14. Enter the OS password or SSH key.
    Option Description
    OS Password Password you entered for the Host system.
    SSH Key Private key used to log in to the target system's Teradata database node (as defined in the Host Name field) instead of a password.
  15. Enter the Seeding type.
    Option Description
    Full System Copies the full source system to the target system.
    Dictionary Copy Copies the database dictionary on the source system to the target system.
    db config Copies database config settings.
  16. Enter the seeding method.
    If you select DSA, complete the following fields as needed: DSA server name, DSA port, DSA service encryption, Security, Job user name, and Job password.
  17. [Optional] Select the box for Encryption.
    The SSH key enables access to the target system using the key.
  18. Click Create Workflow.
    After you create the workflow, follow the same steps as for other workflows. Go to the Workflow Designer summary table to deploy the workflow. Go to the Workflow tab in Ecosystem Explorer to start the workflow.
