Command Line Options for Log on Information

The list of command line arguments to specify log on information are given in the following table (all options are case-sensitive).

Enter the Teradata server name

<tdpid>

<tdpid> is a valid Teradata server name. This name should be defined in the Hosts file. This option is mandatory.

Enter the username

<username>

<username> is a valid user name through which the user logs in. This option is mandatory.

Enter the password

<password>

<password> is the password for the user name. This option is mandatory.

Select the DSN (for ODBC)

<ODBC DSN>

<ODBC DSN> is the data source name to be selected for ODBC. The password must be supplied if the password is not stored when the DSN is created.

Enter the authentication mechanism

<authentication mechanism>

<authentication mechanism> is the authentication mechanism to connect to a Teradata Database. This option is not mandatory.

Enter the authentication parameter

<authentication parameter>

<authentication parameter> is the authentication parameter to connect to a Teradata Database. This option is not mandatory.

Enter the session character set

<session character set>

<session character set> is the session character set to connect to a Teradata Database. This option is not mandatory.
