User Defined Functions (UDFs) are programming constructs that accept parameters, use the accepted parameters, and return a result. You can extend the Aster Server by adding User Defined Scalar Functions (UDSF) and User Defined Aggregate Functions (UDAF) to it. These functions can be called from within SQL statements.
