When you install Teradata Tools and Utilities, you can choose to have a log file named InstallShield.log created. You can use the log file to troubleshoot problems with the installation if necessary.

To have a log file created, you need to start the installation from the command line (DOS prompt). When you insert the DVD to install Teradata Tools and Utilities, if the Windows installer automatically starts, you will need to exit it, open a command line window, and run the setup.exe command with the /debuglog parameter.
