Connect to a Teradata or Teradata Aster database.
The Teradata Aster database must be version 6.10 or later.

Open the Data Source Explorer and navigate to a database object.

Right-click the object name and do one of the following:
- For Teradata objects, select
- For Aster objects, select .
If you are not in the Query Development perspective, which has an SQL Editor view by default, a message appears asking if you want to switch to it. If you Click No, an SQL Editor view opens in the current perspective to show the DDL.
The CREATE statement that defines the object displays in the SQL Editor.
