Trusted-request

Usage Notes

Trusted-request is a one byte ASCII field that indicates whether the request is trusted to use the Teradata SQL SET QUERY_BAND='PROXYUSER=...' statement to change the session userid. So unless the application accepts SQL requests from an outside source, this option has no use.

Possible value that can be set in this DBCAREA field is 'Y' and 'N'.

  • 'N' - the value of 'N' indicates that this is not a trusted request. If the trusted user possesses the trust-only attribute, this setting will prevent "SET QUERY_BAND PROXYUSER..." from being affected.
  • 'Y' - the value of 'Y' indicates that this is a trusted request. If the trusted user possesses the trust-only attribute, this setting will allow "SET QUERY_BAND PROXYUSER..." to be affected.
