If the value of Change Options in the input DBCAREA is Y and...

Then...

Connect

then, in the SCB that is generated, all of the option values in the input DBCAREA are copied to the SCB and in the RCB (internal CLI Request Control Block) that is generated, all of the option values in the SCB are copied to the RCB. Connect uses options values from the RCB.

Run Startup or Initiate Request

none of the option values in the input DBCAREA are copied to the SCB.

Rewind, Fetch, End Request, or Abort

none of the option values in the input DBCAREA are copied to the SCB or the RCB.

Disconnect

none of the option values in the input DBCAREA are copied to the SCB or the RCB. Disconnect uses the value of Message Security from the RCB. Values of the Wait Across Crash and Tell About Crash are taken from the SCB.
