Value Limitation
Although Teradata Database allows semicolons in an account string, OLE DB Provider for Teradata uses semicolons as separators; therefore do not use semicolons in values when using this product. This limitation applies to all attributes, including Account String, Default Database, and any other free-form attribute, like New Password.
If you use a semicolon in an account string, the call to IDBProperties::SetProperties returns DB_S_ERROROCCURRED. The status of DBPROP_INIT_PROVIDERSTRING will be DBPROPSTATUS_BADVALUE.
