This procedure describes how to configure and launch Teradata Aster® Express on AWS using the 1-Click option.
  1. From the AWS Marketplace, locate and select the Teradata Aster Express (Free) product listing page. The Teratada Aster Express (Free) window opens.
  2. Under For region, choose the region where you want the instance to be launched, and then click Continue.


    The Launch on EC2: Teradata Aster Express (Free) window opens.
  3. On the Launch on EC2: Teradata Aster Express (Free) window page:
    1. Select the 1-Click Launch tab.
    2. Under Version, no action is required. This setting identifies the version of the software.


    3. Under Region, confirm that the region you selected is correct. If your region selection is not correct, choose the correct region where you want the instance to be launched.


    4. Under EC2 Instance Type, use the default EC2 instance type, t2.xlarge.


    5. Under VPC Settings, select an existing or create a new Virtual Private Cloud and Subnet.


    6. Under Security Group, select an existing or create a new Security Group.


    7. Under Key Pair, select an existing EC2 key pair.


    8. Review the instance launch settings. If any changes are needed, edit the information before launching.
    9. Click Launch with 1-click to launch your instance.


  4. Your Aster Express instance will take five to ten minutes to launch.


  5. You can check the status of your instance from the Aster Database Management Console (AMC) by typing in the public IP address of the queen into your browser.


    An instance launched using the 1-Click option does not provide an associated Name for the instance.
