In this use case, the following criterion uses the customer’s transaction profile to qualify a message.
To see how to create this same criterion using a criterion expression, see Criterion Expression Use Cases.

These are the associated attribute values for a complex attribute category named transaction:

balance date name

10000

Oct 1, 2010

Airline Miles

50000

Oct 27, 2013

Hotel Points

The criterion qualifies the message named offer_a for the customer when the following is true:

The complex attribute category named transaction contains balance ≥ 5000, and the date associated with the transaction is within the last 30 days.

  1. Drag or double-click the balance attribute that belongs to the complex attribute category named transaction onto the canvas.
  2. Use the following settings:
    Setting Value
    Selection All
Condition Is Greater Than or Equal
    Value 5000
All means that all of the values in the session for that attribute match the condition.
  3. Click APPLY.
  4. Drag the date attribute that belongs to the complex attribute category named transaction onto the canvas. The canvas turns blue when you drag the attribute to a location where you can drop it.

    Date Type Relative
    Duration 30 days
Starting 30 days in the past
  8. Click APPLY.
