Teradata Vantage™ is our flagship analytic platform offering, which evolved from our industry-leading Teradata® Database. Until references in content are updated to reflect this change, the term Teradata Database is synonymous with Teradata Vantage.

Advanced SQL Engine (was NewSQL Engine) is a core capability of Teradata Vantage, based on our best-in-class Teradata Database. Advanced SQL refers to the ability to run advanced analytic functions beyond that of standard SQL.

Teradata® Vantage Customer Experience (Vantage CX) is a solution that leverages inbound customer interactions in real time to deliver the best offer to the customer according to the organization’s business objectives and interaction strategy. Vantage CX is delivered either as a cloud-based solution or as an on-premises implementation.

Think of Vantage CX as a decision service. When other channel applications ask it for content, Vantage CX must decide which content to send to the customers. This content can be a message-related decision such as an offer, some configurable object, or even a copy of all the interaction data for a given customer. The ultimate consumers of Vantage CX are your channel applications such as the call center, website, mobile application, or retail POS. Vantage CX content is presented within those applications.
