  1. Before you uninstall the MDS DDL Gateway or the MDS Action Processor, you must stop the MDS DDL Gateway processes (gwclient, gwserver, and iserver) and the MDS Action Processor process (metaaction).
You can stop these processes without first checking to see if they are running.
    1. [Optional] Check whether the MDS DDL Gateway is running:

      ps -elf | grep server

      ps -elf | grep gwclient

    2. Stop the MDS DDL Gateway:

      /etc/init.d/mdsgwy stop

    3. [Optional] Check whether the MDS Action Processor is running:

      ps -elf | grep metaaction

    4. Stop the MDS Action Processor:

      /etc/init.d/mdsap stop

  2. Uninstall the MDS DDL Gateway:

    rpm -e mdsgwy

  3. Uninstall the MDS Action Processor package:

    rpm -e mdsap

  4. If the MDS development kit files are installed, uninstall them:

    rpm -e mdssdk

  5. Uninstall the MDS base software:

    rpm -e mdsbase

  6. If the Automatic DIM Update feature will not be used in the future, uninstall RSG.
