The MDS Core package (mdsbase) must be installed before you install the MDS Development Kit files.
Installation of the MDS Development Kit files is optional.
- Use the PUT utility or mdssdkinstall command to install the MDS Development Kit files (mdssdk).
The MDS Development Kit includes additional files, libraries, and source file examples for how to build MDS applications with the appropriate commands.
The Development Kit files are installed in the /opt/teradata/mds directory or a nonstandard location if that option was selected when the MDS Core files were installed.
