Purpose

The dumpmemory command invokes a memory dump on one or more nodes, VM nodes, CMICs, VM CMICs, or VMS chassis. Command progress displays on the screen.

Perform this action only when instructed to do so by Teradata technical support personnel. A dump partition must be set up before performing this action. This operation does not perform a graceful shutdown. There is a potential for data loss or corruption when performing this action.
