The following steps show how to create and deploy a Working Data Dictionary. Locks occur when a scan or deploy is in progress.
  1. In the Unity Setup portlet, click the Data Dictionary tab.
  2. Click the Working Dictionaries tab.
  3. Click .
  4. In Name, type over the default name.
  5. Click Scan. The Scan for Objects view appears.
  6. Select Scan for Databases, and then select databases.
  7. Select Scan for Objects.
    1. [Optional] Select the type of Object List:
      • All Objects
      • Objects in this Dictionary
      • Objects not in this Dictionary
      • Objects not in this Dictionary
      • Objects with issues
    2. [Optional] Select Automatically select databases that appear on more than one system.
  8. Select objects.
  9. Click Deploy.
  10. Check the Review Objects to Deploy view. After the scan, some objects may need your attention.
  11. Click Start Deploy After you deploy a new dictionary, you need to change the status of the tables from Unrecoverable to Active on the Table Health tab in the Unity portlet.
