The DBS Control utility (dbscontrol) manages the Teradata Database configuration settings for time zones. The DBS Control settings, also called DBS Control fields, are stored in the DBS Control Globally Distributed Object (GDO) file.
Set the time zone with two dbscontrol fields:
- "18. System TimeZone String" must be set to the correct local timezone.
- "57. TimeDateWZControl " must be set to either 2 or 3. An administrator determines which number is used in this field.
