Usage Notes
The Current Response Buffer Length field is the actual length of the response buffer at the time the request is made. Current Response Buffer Length indicates any problems with memory allocation.

After regaining control from a call to DBCHCL with function code set to any function except Disconnect, the application program may obtain the value of the actual response buffer length in Current Response Buffer Length.
