Unity includes two Viewpoint portlets and a command-line interface.
Unity Portlet
The Unity portlet lets you view the current state of all the components and processes. The dashboard provides information on the overall state of Unity and if a recovery is in progress.
Data in the Unity portlets can be cached and may not be as fresh as data provided via unityadmin.
Each tab provides additional details. Alerts are displayed for database tables and system components, and show current state status.
Unity Setup Portlet
The Unity Setup portlet lets you set up the Unity data dictionary, session routing, thresholds, alerts, components, and global settings.
For passive Unity, not all features of the Unity Setup portlet are available.
Unityadmin Command Line
UnityAdmin lets you manage Unity from a command line. For example, you can edit configuration parameters for processes.
