The monitoring service can be started again by doing the following:
  1. Run the dmcluster startmonitor command on the active monitoring server.
  2. Run the dmcluster status command from the active or standby daemon server to verify that all active components have been started before starting the monitoring service.
If any of the active components have not been started correctly, a failover is initiated. The other option is to run the dmcluster setmaster command from the daemon server that needs to become active to restart all Data Mover services, including the monitor service in active-standby mode.

For more information about restarting services as active or standby, see Restarting Services as Active.
