Possible Cause

1. On workstation platforms, no current connection has been established before issuing an executable SQL request. For example, no successful connection was established via the LOGON or CONNECT or SET CONNECTION statements. On IBM mainframe platforms, a different CLI/DBS error is returned if an implicit logon fails.
2. The connection name in a SET CONNECTION or LOGOFF statement does not exist.

Possible Solution

Ensure a session has been established and is currently active before issuing a request.
