JSON and XML in MultipartRecord Mode have a special transfer protocol that does not use transforms. External JSON and external XML data transferred from clients to Vantage are also processed without transforms. In this mode, the SET TRANSFORM GROUP FOR TYPE statement does not apply. However, JSON and XML can use transforms in Field, Record, and Indicator modes. You can use the SET TRANSFORM GROUP FOR TYPE statement to set the session transform for JSON and XML data in Field, Record, and Indicator modes.
