Entitlement provides you the right to use Teradata software. The Teradata Entitlement Management System (EMS) stores your licensing information and enables you to view and manage that information.
When you order Teradata licensed software, the fulfillment activity generates two e-mails that are sent to you:
- An email containing your Electronic Software Distribution (ESD) password for accessing and downloading the licensed software packages
- An ESD fulfillment email that provides details for your order, including:
- Your EMS Entitlement ID (EID)
- A list of all licensed products requiring a license string
- A list of non-licensed key products
- A list of software files
- A list of publication files
Your EID is associated with your Master Customer number and it never expires.
