The log levels are defined in the daemon's or service's defaults file.

For Windows, its location is:

<Install_Path>\Teradata\TARA\NV_server\config\defaults_ext

For Linux, its location is:

/opt/teradata/nvarcmsmgr/server/config/defaults

  1. Edit the defaults file by changing the log level of one or more controllers:
    • log_arccontroller=32
    • log_arcserver=32
There is also an entry for log_taradcontroller. This controller is not used in the NetVault multistream environment.
  2. Restart the nvarcms daemon or NV_TaraServer service after changing the log levels.
Ensure that the log levels are changed back to the lowest level after troubleshooting is completed.
