To configure Vantage on AWS (DIY) software, you must use a system console that supports SSH protocol. After deploying a Vantage on AWS (DIY) instance, configure your console to allow connection to your instances. Sample console instructions are provided for PuTTY and SecureCRT.

If you are using a Mac Terminal, use the chmod command to ensure your private key file is not publicly viewable. See Amazon User Guide for Linux Instances for more information on connecting to your instance using SSH.
