When you deploy a DSC VM, it includes a metadata catalog, known as the Data Stream Controller (DSC). DSC provides an administrative server that enables an object-level back up and restore of a Teradata Database in the Azure public cloud. Using the DSC VM, you can store backups using blob storage. Blob storage provides greater flexibility for capacity at the lowest cost per GiB.
