In a single-system configuration, server management monitors and manages a single instance of Teradata. The system has a unique system name.
- If a Platform Framework Cabinet (PFC) contains one 680 system, the 680 system is a single-system configuration. If the PFC contains two 680 systems, it is part of a multi-system configuration.
- In a 2800 base cabinet a 680 system is part of a multi-system configuration.
A system is a single-system configuration only if it is not in a UDA environment.
