The 680 system ships to the customer site in a transport cabinet. Site preparation for the 680 transport cabinet is identical to site preparation for the 2800 cabinet or the Teradata Platform Framework Cabinet. For site preparation information, see the following:

The 680 system is placed in a transport cabinet at the factory, then delivered to the site. At the site, the 680 system is tested by Teradata Customer Service Representatives. During testing, the transport cabinet will need onsite power receptacles for powering up the 680 system.
After testing is completed, the chassis in the 680 system are removed from the transport cabinet and installed into a 2800 cabinet or Teradata Platform Framework Cabinet.
The transport cabinet is shipped back to Teradata for reuse.
