For systems that are connected using Teradata ServiceConnect and have Auto Incident Create enabled, the maintenance window allows you to temporarily suppress incident creation. Open a maintenance window to perform system maintenance or any other task that generates alerts.
You can open a maintenance window that covers all components in the Server Management domain, individual systems, or individual chassis.
You can schedule maintenance ahead of time, or start it right away. You can extend the duration of an open maintenance window.
When you close the maintenance window or it expires, make sure you check System Problems in the Web Client or the Summary Alert Viewer in the Java Client for any pending service actions.
In Server Management 13.00, domain- or system-wide maintenance windows can be opened in the Web Client interface.
