The command line interface provides an alternate method for configuring SNMP. Use the following procedure if the Data Domain webpage is not available.
- Access the Data Domain CLI connection.
- At the command prompt, type snmp add trap-host <CMIC IP Address>:162 to add the SNMP trap hosts.
- Confirm the addition.
- At the command prompt, type snmp add ro-community public to add the public community with read-only access.
- Confirm the addition.
- At the command prompt, type snmp add rw-community private to add the private community with read-write access.
- Confirm the addition.
- At the command prompt, type snmp enable to enable SNMP.
