If a Frequency analysis is requested, and the option to “Compute unique values for each column selected” is also requested along with the Values analysis, Data Explorer performs a Frequency analysis (described in Frequency) on every specified input table column whose number of unique values does not exceed the maximum specified by maxuniquecharvalues (for character columns) or maxuniquenumvalues (for numeric and date columns).
With restrictedfreqproc=true (the default), Data Explorer includes the prominent values of character columns with too many unique values in the frequency output table. See restrictedfreqproc and restrictedthreshold in Syntax.
If restrictedfreqproc=true, Data Explorer performs restricted frequency processing.
