The OMVS CLI Software is meant to be install under the /usr/lpp directory.
TTU programs make use of certain z/OS UNIX features and facilities, In order for TTU programs to function properly, either a valid RACF OMVS segment must be associated with any RACF User profile under which they execute, or a USS UID must be automatically assigned by z/OS using the RACF FACILITY class profile BPX.UNIQUE.USER.

Confirm the following UNIX System Services (USS) Requirements:
- Write authority to the USS directories that are used for the pax installation process. (/usr/lpp)
- Available USS file space (5MB).
FTP the pax file from your PC to the UNIX OMVS /tmp directory
bin lcd c:\pc\folder cd /tmp put bcdo-nnnn_17_20_omvs_cli.pax - Move to the base directory - cd /usr/lpp - Extract the contents of the pax file - pax -r -v -p p -f /tmp/bcdo-nnnn_17_20_omvs_cli.pax - Ensure the file/directory owner and group allow intended users to read/execute - Remove the pax file from /tmp directory - rm /tmp/bcdo-nnnn_17_20_omvs_cli.pax
