Restart After a Teradata Database Failure
If the Teradata Database fails during an archive, restore, or recovery procedure, Teradata ARC attempts to restart the operation automatically at the point of failure. During this process, Teradata ARC restarts all sessions and then continues to the current operation by reissuing the last request made prior to the database failure.
If it is not possible to restart, Teradata ARC aborts the job. If the job is aborted, the user can resubmit the job and specify the RESTART option.
