A Teradata Managed BAR solution must be installed and configured before you migrate to a Managed BAR Framework solution. When the Managed BAR Framework solution is active, disable the Appliance Backup Utility to prevent backup conflicts and remove any cron jobs that were used to automatically schedule backups.

On the node where the Appliance Backup Utility server is running, stop the server and then disable the automatic startup:
- Type /etc/init.d/tdabusrv stop
- Type chkconfig tdabusrv off

On all nodes where the Appliance Backup Utility client is running, stop the client and then disable the automatic startup:
- Type /etc/init.d/tdabuclient stop
- Type chkconfig tdabuclient off
