Create your own custom master keys (CMK) by using the AWS Key Management Service (KMS) with Vantage 2.2.1 or later. Using a custom master key allows more control on data encryption and access. For more information, see https://aws.amazon.com/kms/faqs/.
CMK cannot be enabled on systems that have both Advanced SQL Engine and Machine Learning Engine.
To setup and use CMK, work with your account team and cloud operation team to perform the following:
- Get the account ID and region where the Vantage instance is deployed.
- Create a CMK and set up the key policy.
