Server Management subsystems enable overall system monitoring and control. The subsystems include dedicated and redundant Ethernet-based networks that interconnect all managed chassis and VMSs.
The 680, 2800, or 2850 systems use the Server Management network in the IntelliBase base cabinet.
The Server Management network consists of two physical networks on separate paths:
- Primary network for direct management communications of all managed chassis in all cabinets.
- Secondary network for backup communications of all chassis that support a second Ethernet connection.
