When MTDP is informed that the network or the database is down, it checks the setting of the selfrecov option in the MTDP Control Block.
- If it is off, MTDP exits with an error message indicating that the session has crashed
- If it is on, MTDP continuously attempts to restore the virtual circuit and continue with the transaction.
