Simulation results appear on a whiteboard that is similar to the whiteboard for the interaction point or message strategy hierarchy. The simulation whiteboard shows the processed components in the hierarchy for an interaction point or message strategy.
The simulation process evaluates and displays each path, even if one does not pass the criteria.
- Non-red components pass criteria, and may or may not return any messages.
- Red lines lead to components that did not pass criteria and did not return any messages.
Message groups, areas, and the interaction point or message strategy contain numbers that show message results.
Color | Number of |
---|---|
Green | Qualified messages returned to the parent component |
Orange | Qualified messages that were dropped |
Red | Messages disqualified due to criteria |
You can select any component to open a panel that displays simulation details for the component. From the panel that displays, select the Messages tab to view simulation results for the messages that are processed.
Not all messages are selected for delivery to the customer. Messages fall into the following groups:
Message Type | Description |
---|---|
Default | Messages are returned if no other messages qualify and if minimum messages is set to a positive number on the interaction point. Only applies to interaction points. Message strategies do not have a minimum messages parameter. |
Returned | These messages qualified and were delivered to the customer. |
Dropped | These messages qualified but were not presented to the customer for other reasons, such as ranking lower than other messages that could be presented when there is a limit on the number of messages to deliver. |
Failed | These messages failed because they did not pass a criteria. With interaction point simulations, simulation results do not appear if the criteria associated with the channel is flagged as Failed.
|
Priority | Priority messages take precedence over others regardless of arbitration. |
If only a subset of the conditions for a particular criterion appear when more conditions are expected, this usually indicates that one of the following occurred:
- A false condition was evaluated in an AND group
- A true condition was evaluated in an OR group
