The Teradata Notification Service is aware of the two Viewpoint servers that are part of the cluster configuration. The initial state of the primary and secondary Viewpoint servers is maintained by the service. If one of the Viewpoint servers is being replaced, Teradata recommends that the Teradata Notification Service be manually reconfigured to connect to the server that will remain in the cluster.
After the Viewpoint cluster is reconfigured, the Teradata Notification Service reconfigures itself.
