Teradata R Package provides an R interface to all of the analytic functions in Vantage: ML Engine analytic functions and Advanced SQL Engine in-database analytic functions.
This section shows examples of how the Teradata R Package enables users to run a selection of these analytic functions through an R interface.
In this section, assume you have a connection with the name con to an Advanced SQL Engine as user "tdvUser", where the target database is "tdvDB".
See Testing Connection to Vantage with Teradata SQL Driver for R for details on how to set up a connection.
In the following examples, in addition to the "tdplyr" package, the "DBI", "dplyr" and "dbplyr" packages are also needed. Start by loading these packages in your R session, if they are not already loaded:
library(DBI) library(dplyr) library(dbplyr)
