You can use a cloud service provider's key management service to support rotating cloud security keys.
Use the AWS Key Management Service (KMS) to create your own KMS key. Using an AWS KMS allows more control on data encryption and access. For more information, see https://aws.amazon.com/kms/faqs/.
AWS KMS applies to storage associated with the Analytics Database and Vantage Applications.
To setup and use AWS KMS, work with Teradata and your cloud operation team to perform the following:
- Get the account ID and region where the Vantage instance is deployed.
- Create a KMS key and set up the key policy.
