To create the MDS repository from a Linux workstation:

1 Log onto the workstation as root.

2 Do one of the following:

To create an MDS repository without versioning support, run the /opt/teradata/mds/bin/metacreate program.

To create an MDS repository with versioning support, run the /opt/teradata/mds/bin/metacreate -v on program.
