Properties

You can look at the properties for each:

  • Application metamodel
  • Class
  • Property
  • Relationship
  • Class Object
  • Whether you can see common properties, unique properties, relationships, or security profile, varies with the object selected.

    To view the properties for a class:

    1 In the Navigation Pane, click Metamodel Administration.

    2 From the Repository Metamodels drop-down list, select a metamodel, and then click Go.

    3 In the Classes and Relationships area, select a class.

    4 Click Properties.

    The Properties screen for the selected class appears.

    To view the class properties of a class:

    1 In the Navigation Pane, click Metamodel Administration.

    2 From the Repository Metamodels drop-down list, select a metamodel, and then click Go.

    3 In the Classes and Relationships area, select a class.

    4 Click Class Properties.

    The Class Properties screen for the selected class appears.

    To view the properties for a metamodel:

    1 In the Navigation Pane, click Metamodel Administration.

    2 From the Repository Metamodels drop-down list, select a metamodel, and then click Go.

    3 At the bottom of the MDS Metamodel Administration area, click Properties.

    To view the properties for a property:

    1 In the Navigation Pane, click Metamodel Administration.

    2 From the Repository Metamodels drop-down list, select a metamodel, and then click Go.

    3 In the Classes and Relationships area, select a class.

    4 Click Class Properties.

    The Properties screen appears.

    5 Select a property, and then click Properties.

    To view the properties for a relationship:

    1 In the Navigation Pane, click Metamodel Administration.

    2 From the Repository Metamodels drop-down list, select a metamodel, and then click Go.

    3 In the Classes and Relationships area, select a relationship.

    4 Click Properties at the bottom of the Relationships area.

    To view the properties for a class object:

    1 In the Navigation Pane, click Metamodel Administration.

    2 From the Repository Metamodels drop-down list, select a metamodel, and then click Go.

    3 In the Classes and Relationships area, select a class, and then click Get Objects.

    4 Select an object, and then click View Object.

    MDS Repository Explorer displays the common and unique properties for the object and a list of class relationships that lets you navigate up and down the relationship chain.
