Selecting a Logon Method - Teradata Index Wizard

To use Teradata Index Wizard, you need to log on to the Teradata Database. Before logging on, select a logon method. You can connect using either ODBC or CLIv2.

1 Go to Tools > Options > Preferences.

The Preferences dialog box opens and the Connectivity tab is active.

2 Choose the connectivity type, either ODBC or CLIv2.

3 Click Apply, and click OK.

4 Each logon method uses a slightly different procedure:

If you are logging on with ODBC, follow the procedure, “Connecting Through ODBC” on page 36.

If you are logging on with CLIv2, follow the procedure, “Connecting Through CLIv2” on page 37.
